A tree is a tree is a forest is a tree is a work featured
in the weekly newspaper D'Lëtzebuerger Land. The newspaper
regularly offers artists to create a visual work, featured
on a whole page. I had the chance to open this year's series
on 7th February 2014.
The work is based on a black and white photography I took
on a walk through the forest in winter. The picture is
separated in its primary colors to remind of the halftone
printing technique of newspapers.
At a closer look, the image disintegrates into its single
dots, just like a forest might disintegrate into single
trees, depending on your point of view.
The visual characteristics of the image correspond to the
overflow of information we experience.
